THE Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System - Regulatory Office said that they will investigate the water service being distributed by Maynilad, which cannot be used for drinking.

It will be recalled that Maynilad had advised their customers in Bacoor, Imus, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, and Parañaque to not use the water being distributed to them for water or for cooking.

"Maynilad is supposed to provide potable water 24/7 to its customers. This is not potable water. We want to understand the situation and investigate why they are not able to provide this potable water," according to Atty. Patrick Ty, chief of the MWSS-RO.

"We all know this is seasonal, this happens every year, so they should have been ready for this," he added.

Earlier, Maynilad Corporate Communications Head Jen Rufo, said as to why this happened.

And with that change in the season, may certain variations doon sa mga water quality sa Laguna Lake. Kasi by doing that, ma-i-increase natin iyong water production at mas kaunti iyong makakaranas ng service interruptions," she said.
