Suzuki Philippines and Highfleet Motors Corporation have opened a dealership for the Japanese brand in Baguio City located at No. 5 Marcos Highway, Sto. Tomas Proper.
This marked a significant milestone as Suzuki Auto Baguio represents the inaugural partnership between Suzuki Philippines Inc. and Highfleet Motors under the visionary leadership of its president, Wilson Angheng.
"This partnership with Highfleet Motors Corporation is a testament to our commitment to providing quality vehicles to the vibrant community of Baguio. We are excited to bring Suzuki's innovative and compact models to this picturesque city,” said Norihide Takei, Director and General Manager for the Automobile Division of Suzuki Philippines.
For his part, Angheng said his company is honored to be part of the Suzuki family.
"Highfleet Motors is honored to be a part of Suzuki's journey in Baguio. This collaboration reflects our dedication to offering top-notch automotive solutions to the people of Baguio, aligning with Suzuki's reputation for excellence,” he added.
Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, who graced the launching of Suzuki Auto Baguio, said that the city’s residents would benefit greatly from Suzuki's compact vehicles, aligning with the city's vision for sustainable and efficient urban mobility.
“Because of the huge problem of traffic in the city of Baguio, we acknowledge that one of the major solutions is to encourage our residents to use compact cars,” Magalong said.
The mayor said that upon seeing Suzuki’s latest offerings, he is hoping that Suzuki would allow the use of its hybrid models for public transportation, adding that a critical component in Baguio’s Smart Mobility project is the modernization of its public transport system.
During the launch of Suzuki Auto Baguio, Kenneth So, Corporate Secretary of Highfleet Motors, emphasized the impact of Suzuki's compact vehicles in light of Baguio City's Smart Mobility project.
"With the implementation of Baguio City’s Smart Mobility project, we anticipate a shift in our market automobile preferences. Compact cars will become the preferred choice, not only in Baguio’s central district but in its residential areas as well," So remarked.
Suzuki Auto Baguio’s showroom and service shop are open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Saturday.
