Global semiconductor sales set a new monthly record in November with $57.8 billion, up 1.6 percent from October 2024, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said on Tuesday.
Annual global sales also rose 20.7 percent compared to November of 2023.
“The global semiconductor market continued to grow substantially in November, hitting its highest-ever monthly sales total as month-to-month sales increased for the eighth consecutive month,” said John Neuffer, SIA president and CEO.
“Year-to-year sales increased by more than 20 percent for the fourth consecutive month, driven by a 54.9 percent year-to-year sales increase into the Americas," he added.
Regionally, semiconductor sales jumped 54.9 percent year-on-year in the Americas, 12.1 percent in China, 10 percent in Asia-Pacific, and 7.4 percent in Japan, while falling 5.7 percent in Europe.
