Fiber-only offerings of PLDT Home boosted its revenues in end-June 2025, which rose 4 percent to P30.4 billion on an annual basis, the company reported on September 12.

The residential-focused internet service provider of the publicly listed telecommunications firm said revenues from fiber-only services rose 7 percent to P29.5 billion in the first six months this year relative to the same period last year.

It said product offerings that use fiber optic broadband connections account for 97 percent of Home revenues as the company shifts away from legacy technologies such as the digital subscriber line (DSL).

“Our growth reflects the increasing demand for high-speed connectivity and value-rich digital experiences,” senior vice president and head of PLDT Home Business John Palanca said in a news release on Friday.

“We’re expanding our fiber footprint while delivering bundled services that meet evolving customer needs.”

The company said it registered 169,000 new fiber subscribers in the first half of this year, bringing total connections to 3.53 million as of the end of June.

It traced this growth to network expansion and the bundled offerings of internet connection, mobile service, and video streaming platform Netflix.

“Over 80 percent of new customers in the second quarter opted for higher-value plans priced at P1,299 and above, helping drive the industry’s highest average revenue per user at P1,485,” PLDT said.
