BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — The Provincial Local Government Unit here will be utilizing more than P3 billion budget for the implementation and delivery of various programs, projects, and services for Novo Vizcayanos.
Governor Jose Gambito said the PLGU’s 2026 Local Expenditure Program, approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan through Appropriations Act 2025-01, will carry out the development plan of the province and the governor’s “Gayyem ti Umili” framework, which underscores the principles “leave no one behind,” “value quality service,” and “united for progress.”
He said the key priority areas which will be funded in the 2026 LEP include agriculture and food security, tourism, culture, and heritage promotion, health and wellness services, education and human capital development, social welfare and family protection, infrastructure, including the ‘Kalsada Ti Kabanbantayan’ Project, environmental protection, disaster risk reduction, and climate resilience program.
Gambito said the LEP also provides support for organic agriculture, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and job-creation initiatives.
“This budget is more than a list of expenditures; it is a concrete commitment that no one will be left behind, that we will continue to improve public service, and that we will remain united in advancing the progress of Nueva Vizcaya. With the cooperation of our board members and the entire provincial government, we will ensure that every peso allocated for 2026 translates into real and tangible benefits for our people,” he said.
Gambito thanked the SP for their swift passage of the NEP which will benefit and uplift the lives of Novo Vizcayanos.
