BACOLOD CITY – Negros Occidental’s newly launched online jobs portal is gaining traction, drawing strong interest from both employers and jobseekers. Since going live in December, 31 employers have posted 86 job openings, while nearly 4,700 active jobseekers have already signed up.

Provincial Public Employment Services Office manager Karen Dinsay said on Thursday that the Negros Jobs portal has been well received for being user-friendly and accessible.

“They said the portal is very easy to navigate for both the employers and the applicants. It is very accessible,” Dinsay said, noting that more companies are expected to come on board.

The platform has already delivered results, with seven successful hires so far. The first was Jan Roland Broce, 27, from La Carlota City, who landed a business development officer position in December.

“After I scanned the QR code, I found the portal easy to navigate. I completed the application process online, and after a week, I was hired,” Broce said.

The portal lists job openings across sectors such as wholesale and retail, engineering, construction, manufacturing, real estate, and business process outsourcing. It aims to make job hunting faster and easier while opening up more livelihood opportunities across the province.
