The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has extended the interim operations and maintenance (O&M) contract of Golfplus Management Inc. and Duck Sports and Music Productions Inc. for John Hay Golf at Camp John Hay in Baguio City until this year.

In a news release on Thursday, BCDA said the extension ensures continued access for golfers, residents, and visitors as the agency works on long-term arrangements for the facility’s sustainable management.

The golf course opened to the public in 2025.

“Extending the interim management ensures uninterrupted operations while safeguarding public access and maintaining the quality of services expected by golfers and visitors,” BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Joshua Bingcang said.

BCDA said the extension allows the two firms to organize the BCDA Chairman’s Cup in 2026, continue facility and amenity improvements, and host other events and tournaments to strengthen the golf course’s position as a premier sports and recreation destination in Baguio City.

The agency added that John Hay Golf is supporting the future of Philippine golf through a partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission and the National Golf Association of the Philippines, which grants free access to children aged 18 and below.

“The extension underscores BCDA’s commitment to keeping John Hay Golf open, inclusive, and well-managed as a public asset for present and future generations,” the BCDA said.
