CALASIAO, Pangasinan – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) disbursed a total of P53.1 million in medical assistance across Pangasinan in 2025.

At a stakeholders’ meeting on Friday, PCSO Pangasinan branch manager Christopher Pacalso said the funds helped 5,994 residents who sought support from their office.

The top localities with the most beneficiaries include the cities of Dagupan, Urdaneta, and San Carlos, and the towns of Lingayen, Binmaley, Calasiao, Mangaldan, Bugallon, Bayambang, and Sta. Barbara.

PCSO’s medical assistance program covers hospital confinement, chemotherapy, dialysis, medications, medical devices, implants, laboratory and diagnostic procedures, and major surgeries, helping ease the financial burden of indigent patients.

“This is from those who patronize PCSO's gaming. The more sales we generate, the more we can give to the patients,” Pacalso said.

Beyond medical aid, PCSO also provided patient transport vehicles to all local government units (LGUs) in Pangasinan this year.

“We have provided patient transport vehicles to all the LGUs of Pangasinan in 2025,” Pacalso said, noting that the next ambulance distribution will be in three years.

In 2025, PCSO also distributed “Charitimba” family food packs to disaster-affected families in San Fabian, Bayambang, Mapandan, Binmaley, Lingayen, Tayug, and Dagupan City. Pacalso said other LGUs may request the program through their office.

He encouraged the public to continue supporting PCSO gaming products, which fund programs that benefit local communities.

Pangasinan has 113 lotto outlets covering almost all towns, except San Nicolas, Santo Tomas, and Bautista.

The LGUs with the highest lotto sales in 2025 were the cities of Dagupan, San Carlos, Urdaneta, and Alaminos, and the towns of Calasiao, Lingayen, Rosales, Mangaldan, Malasiqui, and Mangatarem.
