Three airports managed by Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. (AIC) accommodated more than 16 million passengers in 2025.

AIC said a total of 16.17 million passenger arrivals were recorded at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), Laguindingan International Airport (LIA) and Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA).

"Passengers arriving at MCIA, LIA, and BPIA now have easier access to key destinations across Cebu, Bohol, and Northern Mindanao, making travel within the Philippines more seamless than ever,” AIC vice president and head of airports Rafael Aboitiz said in a statement Monday.

AIC said the passenger volume highlights the growing role of its airports in supporting tourism, business travel and regional economic growth.

Of the total, MCIA logged 11.6 million passengers, up nearly 3 percent from 11.3 million in 2024. LIA recorded 2.35 million passengers while BPIA logged 2.22 million.

AIC also cited key connectivity initiatives that contributed to passenger growth, including “CEB Connects,” an air-to-air transfer service that shortens transfer times between international and domestic flights.

Other initiatives include “CEB+,” a short air-to-sea transfer service from MCIA to Mactan Wharf serving nearby islands, and “CEB Balik,” an overseas Filipino workers (OFW) facilitation kiosk positioning MCIA as the main Visayas-Mindanao OFW gateway.

These initiatives, AIC said, provide hassle-free access to and from Cebu and beyond through MCIA.
